@BLADESMAN598 It's only like one month into there training, It will get alot more intense. Also keep in mind that there are elite units in the FFL, otherwise its just a conventional army.

If this is supposed to be hard then I must be missing something? It looks more like a boy scouts day out! Elite my arse!

@BarneyTee I used to be a security guard in East Helsinki. There was one well-known, ex-Legionnaire(also a big guy), who also lived there. The police gave us instructions not try to stop him if he went on a rampage, but instead call the police and wait for them a safe distance away. =)

@breitsch Wow...Swiss Army doesn't mess around when it comes down to walking the distance. You're not pulling our legs, are ya'?
-
@breitsch the problem is that some of these guys have never been soldiers before. They train for 5 weeks - at the most - and ought to do this first long march... When you have been civil for your whole life, 60km with 'sac à dos' is quite a bit.

MARCHE OU CRÈVE !

Somehow, I can't understand why it's so hard for them after just a few kilometers. When I was in the army, even the normal soldiers had to do a 50k march with full package. With no bivouac on between!
While at Officer School, we had a 40k march the first day, a 60k the second day a 80k mixed march( bicycle and on foot). the fourth day was no march, but the fifth was the 100k march which is obligatory if you want to become an officer in the Swiss Army.
