Is there some advantage to using vnStat over PFsense? Or is vnStat mostly used for private legacy DNS servers?

PFsense is a FreeBSD based firewall, router, load balancing, and dedicated device. It can do lots of other stuff. vnstat is a general purpose software and can be installed on any server or firewall device or embedded router powered by dd-wrt and others.
