I use sonar 8 and have a HP Pavillion with a dual core 2.4G processor and 2MB ram. Everything works fine until you have over 20 tracks with plug-ins. What really saps my computer is when I use the V-vocal editing program. It will shut down sonar in a heartbeat. I'm going to upgrade to 4MB ram and see if it helps, if not, I may be upgrading computers.

yeh if you got a Mac you should go with Pro Tools or Logic
Neil Borthwick is their chief "techical" officer. Too bad they don't have a chief spelling officer.
