Economy Tent International, Miami, FL, has developed a new Disaster Recovery Shelter that is now ready for distribution worldwide. This shelter delivers an extremely cost-effective, high-quality solution for short or long-term relief shelters that are thoughtfully engineered to provide housing and work facilities after natural and man-made disasters like the devastating earthquake in Haiti and the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

The Economy Tent International Disaster Relief Shelter is affordable, lightweight, tough, durable, rugged and extremely easy to assemble with minimum manpower and without the need for special tools. The unique design allows for immediate deployment when disasters strike and when adequate shelter and temporary housing is key to survival. It is the perfect choice for portable rapid-response structures (housing, command centers, on-site labs, worker rest & changing stations, clinics, and aid stations) needed during emergency situations.

Designed and manufactured to last for years, the Disaster Relief Shelter is also wind load tested, flame retardant (meets standards established by California Fire Marshall and NFPA 701), and contains mildew and UV inhibitors. The flooring is 18 0z. vinyl coated nylon that attaches with snap hooks to a rope on the inside walls that provides an elevated perimeter so water does not enter. The top cover is manufactured with 18 oz white blackout vinyl with an exclusive lacquer top coating so the interior stays 7 -- 10 degrees cooler than shelters without the blackout feature. Sidewalls use 13 oz. white vinyl with 30" x 10' mesh windows on three sides with cover flaps. The front has a roll-up 30" wide door and two 30" x 30" mesh windows with cover flaps. Basic shelter is 13' x 13' (169 sq.ft.).
