Ken O'Keefe on Al Jazeera - Burns U.S. Passport in Amsterdam

In response to the United States refusing to recognize the human right of self-determination of Ken O'Keefe to renounce his U.S. citizenship and in protest of U.S. policies world-wide O'Keefe burns his passport. Charges the United States with Crimes Against Humanity for its use of Depleted Uranium in Iraq, the Balkans, Puerto Rico and Hawaii.

@DCFunBud - Truth is that I only burned my passport after the US Government was given two opportunities to recognise the/my human right of self-determination, they did not and claimed me as a citizen as if I were their property, that is when I began burning the passports(s).

I also wanted statelessness, at least for some time, because the relegation of hundreds of millions of people to statelessness or the equivalent is a massive part of the injustice that makes this world so unacceptable.

8 U.S.C. § 1481(a)(5) governs renunciation of US citizenship. It has to be done according to State Department regulations. The regulations require that a renunciant: demonstrate that he knows what he is doing and intends to renounce citizenship; recite the oath of renunciation; complete the formal documents. If Ken O'Keefe has not done this, then he has effectively chosen not to bother renouncing his citizenship and the political status he has chosen is that of a US citizen.

@JDB7484 I have done all that you say and more, I have formally, lawfully renounced, swearing under oath, filed all papers with the US State Department, did not vote in US sham elections, did not pay federal income tax in the US for years before leaving, told this to the State Department to their face and in writing, left the US, I condemn US imperialism and war crimes on every level, the only reason I burned the passport(s) is because the US attempts to deny the right to renounce.
