  • Bad ass car, I have the exact same one except it's a different color, it's darker green, with a black hardtop, and the interrior is dark green with leather seats.

  • Pretty cool. I remember my dad's stories of the local cop with the 455 88 Pursuit Special. He said he could hear it miles away, and when it cranked up, the party was over...lol.

  • This was my 2nd car @ 16 2-Door Blue bought it for $50, the guy i bought it from must've reallly wanted a Cadillac cause when i bought the car he had a Caddy emblem on the hood, Caddy front & rear seats, Caddy sideview mirrors and Caddy emblems on the side quarter vinyl top. All from a 69-70 Deville...it had no heat but it was a nice car LOL!

  • The power locks/windows/seat make all the difference in the world, remember how strenuous and horrible it was to lean over to roll the window or un lock it ,in this tank it was quite a reach .

  • had one exactly like this one in 1977 and the car had just 32k pampered miles. The car was showroom condition. Gas was 48 cents a gallon and $5 gave me close to half a tank. That car would cruise at 100mph with ease. What a car and engine-455. I had just turned 17 when I purchased it from my aunt for $500. It was all original except for the battery I replaced. It even had the 3 skinny lined white walls oldsmobile used-if anyone remembers them. Tire size was H70-15. IF I remember right.

  • @leydenzar: These cars were somewhat underappreciated performance wise, IMHO. Ex.: A 1966 Hemi Plymouth or '71 Torino 429CJ, with a short gear ratio{4.10/4.30 respectively} might be fun at the drags, but will almost inevitably come up a little short on the top end.

These cars, though? With 360-390 hp on tap, and 2.56 gears, most probably would hit 140+, like yours did.

  • Did anyone play the game Driver 2 XD

  • When I saw this video my heart broke. I had the twin to this car for 7 years. I mean exactly the same. I named Charllotte. I blew the 455 then found a 350 rocket. Lost it when moving from city to city. I want another one but cant believe how hard they are to find. Seen a couple of 4 doors but talk about ugly. Hands down the best car Ive ever owned. I always wanted to put a little soup under the hood and a little meat under the assend. came stock with a turbo 400 and a dana 12 bolt. Sigh

  • theres an anchor in there somewhere lol i had one of these cars a 2 dr with a 455 4bbl great car once sunk the speedo mighta been 145-150mph felt like we were jus gliding along.

  • I owned a four-door sedan with two-barrel 455 from 1974 to 1980--great cars! 2.56 axle ratio!
