New Generation Artist Performing Arts School

New Generation Artist is a non-profit organization that is committed to teaching history, life-skills, social awareness and raising higher academic standards as an expression through the performing arts. Young people today live in a different world. They face new hazards and challenges sometimes unimaginable.

The Urban Shakespeare's very popular program was birthed out of Jonathan Thompson's relationship with young people. He wrote characters and scripts based off the lives, lifestyles and hardships that students have had to over come. Using poetry, music, and the Hip-Hop culture, the presentation is up beat and contemporary.

Jonathan Thompson, founder of New Generation Artist is a Teaching Artist, Actor, Singer, Musician, and Songwriter. He has been working as an artist entertainer for thirty years. He shared platforms with some of the most distinguished entertainers, personalities, politicians and scholars of our times.
