http://www.TailTrex.tv February 12, 2009 - Bryce Burton, the first Trek 508 (formerly Access §508) beneficiary, takes his first rides on a Bi-ski. Use of the Bi-ski is part of Bryce's preliminary training because balance and upper body coordination are required for both Adaptive (disabled) skiing, and snow trekking (one of the things Bryce will eventually do with the dogs).
Thanks to some very effective physical therapy, Bryce has developed a keen sense of balance which helped using the Bi-ski. In fact at one point Bryce was making turns often before his Instructor was prepared. To learn more about Bryce, visit http://www.BryceWalk.com
A special thanks to the late Mike Young, former Director of Snow Sports at Bear Valley, for accommodating this day on the slopes. Mike was one of those rare spirits who loved snow sports, as much as people. He will be missed.
If you're ever in the California Sierra, Bear Valley is hard to beat. Check it out at http://www.BearValley.com
