Wow, Doreen (and Angelic messengers!) thank you! I'm doing hospice care for my father, and this is something I really needed to hear, especially the part about responsibility.

Even in a hospice situation there are lighter moments, I was just now giving him meds and he looked up and said, "How did my bedroom turn into a kitchen?" Then he asked for an apertif--"like the kind Garrison Keillor had" I gave him some apple juice.
