Being a Maya user mainly, I knew there had to be an easy way of adding a perspective correct starfield, and the sphere did the trick! Thanks for showing that bit of delicious goodness-it came in handy! Keep up the great tutorials!
Nice job Dave, keep'm coming. Is there a way in 3DMax to create a going to light speed (streaking stars) type effect, or just moving fast through space? Using the VP starfield and animating the cam in a straight line you have no appearance of moving, the stars remain the same distance from the camera. Any ideas about this?
