what do baby seals taste like anyways? chicken?

Not even the sealers eat seal meat, since they are already stuffed on steak and what's left after their gross over-fishing of the cod. The remains of the baby seals are just left out there to rot. But if anyone is desperate to try some marine mammal meat, I'd suggest Japan and some of that red whale meat or black dolphin meat, as long as he doesn't mind ingesting a huge dose of mercury along with it.

thanks... I am a meat eater but i know there is a right and wrong way to do everything. And I think killing animals just for "fun" or fur is the lowest of the low. Thanks for taking my comment and not bashing me because of my lifestyle choice. Good luck with your efforts.

I haven't forgotten that I used to eat meat myself, and I don't go back to 1998 and bash myself for it. However, I am happier with myself now that I've discontinued it. Most of my old friends still eat meat, and I do not preach at them. I just be myself, Enough said. Take care, buddy.

Before we arrogant humans took over this land, seals have been feeding on fish for millions of years, and yet, when the Europeans arrived, they were marveled by the overabundance of fish, cod very much included.

By 1992 the vast populations of cod, haddock, whiting and plaice were decimated by canada, putting a hundred thousand out of work. The same DFO mafia that claimed it was managing and controlling North Atlantic fish populations began the same immoral operation on seals, with the most massive and vicious assault on wildlife the world has ever seen. With that they ensured fish populations would never recover, thus once again betraying their own communities for the criminal greed of a few thugs.

Really. if the Cod fishery was as important to the economic survival of the east coast committees, then why didn't Canada go to war over it? Iceland deployed her navy into the international waters surrounding the island nation and nearly went to war with England (a far more powerful nation) to protect her Cod fishery. Today the Icelandic Cod fishery is the only surviving Cod fishery on the planet. It worked.
