  • It's ironic that the mobile phone Ryan talks on, the computer he is sitting in front of, and the devices with which everyone will view this video on, ALL contain rare-earth materials.

  • I am aware that my iphone contains rare earths.

@davegate2000 I do not dispute that Rare Earths are a necessary commodity in our modern world. I know that they will be dug up from somewhere and processed somewhere if not Mt Weld and Kuantan. Rather than debate me you would rather erect a strawman to smash down.

  • @davegate2000 My problem is with processing these materials in a developing country where there is no chance of risk to health and safety being reduced to reasonable limits.

There is no hope at all that local residents will receive just compensation for the risks they will be exposed to in the next 30 to 50 years as a result of this LAMP.

  • If you are approaching this issue with an open mind to gather all facts and opinions from both sides then that is a good thing.

However, from your previous videos it's clear that you are very much anti-lynas, and thus all your presentations must be viewed with a great deal of suspicion.

Still, I hope I'm wrong and that you are making a real effort to be objective about this.

Oh, and by the way, the latest protest numbers have been in the hundreds at most, not "tens of thousands".

  • I was there @davegate2000. The Perhimpunan Hijau had at least 5 thousand people in attendance. Despite the fact that the Federal Reserve Unit was sent in with riot gear.

We can argue many different aspects of this issue. However we can not argue about whether or not the people of Kuantan want Lynas so near their homes. They plainly do not. I was in Kuantan for almost 2 months. Every second car has an anti Lynas bumper sticker. Anti Lynas sentiment is everywhere.

  • that's the spirit bro.

  • @davegate2000 from your previous comments it's clear that you are very much pro-lynas and thus all your comments must be viewed with a great deal of suspicion

  • @m144mantube build it next to your house and see whether you like it . it doesn't benefit us in any way , and there already was an incident in our country that there was a radiation leak . YOU wanna build a plant ? why not build it in aussie ?

  • where is part 2?

  • This is a great video, Ryan. Brilliant work!

  • FUCK YOU LYNAS. GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY MOTHERLAND. and fuck u guys who say bad things about him.

  • To those stupid commenter, the rare earth is not the problem u an asshole, the waste comes from the factory of the rare earth is the fucking problem. If those factory is good, why don't the Australian build it in their own country?

  • I can't believe this guy passes himself off as some kind of expert on Lynas, hes just some left winger with an agenda.
