  • This man wrote thousands of songs, and was considered the King of Calypso. He was actually an American citizen, born in Brooklyn, but went to Trinidad with his family when he was two. He performed frequently in Harlem and traveled all around the world. He predicted one day that Calypso music would become tremendously popular in the US long before it did.

  • @Jha49513 what you say is so true but Calypso was over taken by Ska from Jamaica and Soca from Trinidad.
