Thanks for that wonderful response! I'll be looking for more Hamilton soon! I've read all the Asimov Foundation series, and you can't read the later ones without being familiar with his series starting with I Robot. Bova's a great favorite of mine, and check out that Mars trilogy by Kim Stanley Robinson! I also get into Robert J. Sawyer and lately some Jack McDevitt. Happy reading and tubing!

I just went shopping for books again yesterday. I picked up a few things that look interesting, only to find that I had half of them already. So I took three books back and exchanged them for three others. It turns out that I already had one of those! My pile of books to read is about three years long, so sometimes I forget what I bought two years ago and haven't read yet... I'm reading some Nancy

The entire Asimov collection is incredible, but has anyone read the new series Galactic Battlefront...doesn't seem to be very well known yet however its an instant classic unlike anything I've read in a while, the first two volumes are called Siege of the Golden City and Chronicles of a UO Soldier. Siege is available for free on their website and I got Chronicles on amazon kindle.

Thanks for the tour Steve - interesting. I've been reading a few SF books recently. I'm finding I enjoy more the soft/social SF than Space Opera. Like yourself I like to read a variety of other types of books too.

I think you would enjoy Alastair Reynold's Revelation Space Series. Also "Macroworld" by George Zebrowski

I read Rendevous with Rama a few years ago and couldn't get into it. Although I did quite enjoy the first book of Asimovs Foundation series. Never got around to reading the rest I'm afraid.

I LOVE it, it's my new favorite book. I love the characters and the different stories within and I just love how everything just sort of falls together after he sets it all up in the first 300 pages :)

I'm guessing you've finished it by now as it's been almost 3 years since you posted this, so can you tell me if I'm going to want Judas Unchained?

Nice review. I've not actually read any Peter F Hamilton stuff, but quite a few of the other spines looked familiar. Your book shelves are considerably neater than mine! Mars was my favourite Ben Bova book.
