I have long been a storm chaser and grew up wanting to chase trains and chase storms. In 2004 Virginia saw a number of disturbances from the left overs of tropical storms and or hurricanes pass through the area. This is one of 7 tornados I got a glimpse at during a 4 week period from August to September 2004. This is one of 3 tornados that tornados that came through this area in a short period of time. The second tornado featured in the next clip eventually split into two tornados and barreled it's way northbound across I-95 in route to a destruction path that stretched more then 40 miles and caused the weather forecasters at NWS LWX Sterling Virginia to take shelter.

  • who's your partner?

  • He's asked me not to say lol. He's in the paper or on tv enough for you to try and figure it out.:P

  • ah ok. I live in Winchester/Frederick County.

  • Oh Really? My storm chasing Partner lives in Winchester there right near I-81. He's one of your local weather guru's so you might have seen him on tv or in the paper on occasion.

  • Where exactly is White Oak?

  • Just outside Fredericksburg, Virginia across the Rappahonock river about 3 miles east of the route 1 & Route 17 intersection.
