  • the HMS hood, repulse, prince of wales, ark royal, bismark and the yamoto.may they and there crew rest in peace

  • there will not be any ship that can compair with the Yamato and her crew

  • I enjoy the glorious sight of Little Boy and Fat Man turning into mushroom clouds, so right.

  • @cyril1917 she actually got refited with 162 0.98 inch aa guns and 24 5 inch dual purpose guns so she was up to date remember it took 300 planes at least (not known how many exactly ) 11 torpedoes and 8 1000 pulnd bombs and the musashi took17 1000 poulnd bombs and 19 torpedoes

  • @rinia1864 Can the beautiful picture of the Yamato and Musashi at 1:56 be purchased on line? Being a battleship junkie, I would love to have it in my collection. Also the ship blueprints at the beginning of the video are an excellent touch.

  • Yamato was an amazing ship, but she was already outdated by the time of the pear Harbor attack. I've seen a lot of folks here mentioning how she wasn't used properly, etc but the fact is that the war in the Pacific was where the carrier took over as the key to victory at sea ( which is what made Midway a turning point for America when so many Japanese carriers were lost ), while the Atlantic had the last great battles between gunships ( like the hunt for the Bismarck ).

  • It is a shame that she had to be sunk!

  • @DanielTeivel If this was durng the 1950's-60's the US most assuradely would have joined Germany, Nippon, and Italy. And if Germany did not attack Brittain, the Brittish would have been an Axis Power aswell. Would have been cool if it happened, ay? Remember, COMMUNISM IS THE ENEMY!

  • @DanielTeivel

To tell the truth, Japan's imperial conquest of asia was the primary reason the Nippon(Japan) went to war with the US. After 10 years of suppying oil to them, and watching them use it to rape and murder the chinese, the US told Nippon their oil trade was over. In response, Nippon surpassed a surprise attack at Pearl Harbor...and so on. Though honestly we should have been with the Axis Powers from the begining, for Axis Power claim and support was ANTI-COMMUNISM.

  • I love the Bridge Structure!
