Voice at 1:07. Alert at 3:47. Attack at 5:30. Random tractor at 0:17.
Since my first DAEC video was riddled with wind noise, I decided to go back and re-record the same 4004. I was able to park a little closer this time, and got a much better recording of it.
A minor glitch occurs during this test. The siren is supposed to rotate to point south before the third voice announcement, but it doesn't. It does, however, successfully rotate to point west before the final voice announcement, and the rest of the test completes normally.
Oh, and just as the test was starting, a farmer decided it was time to start plowing the field I was parked next to. So, for the first few minutes, it's a battle between the siren and a John Deere tractor to see who is the loudest.
If you ever are in the Northeast side of Cedar Rapids near Kenwood Elementary School, could you send me a picture of the siren that is located at that school. I went to that school in my early childhood (almost 20 years ago) and I remember the Thunderbolt they had there. I heard that the DAEC Thunderbolts have been replaced (I think because NRC now requires battery backup in Nuke Plant sirens). Vermont Yankee and Pilgrim had to replace all of their sirens to comply the new battery requirement.
