Im in on this petition, Im tired of Mortal Kombat (great game, but nothing compared to KI), KI 3 has been rumored for more than a decade, in a way Im not getting my hopes up, because Rare Studios is basically to interested in Loco Roco and Viva Pinata bull shit games, which they should really concentrate is the next KI 3 Resurrected or something, soon another decade will pass and no KI 3, in 5 more years, Im giving up on KI 3, unless Netherrealm Studio decides to buy the title from Rare Studios.

The concept of the game in which all previous characters would be playable is interesting because I have come up with a plot that could make it possible. The second game somehow takes place in the past right? So what if when they return to the present, they end up a year early? This means that Chief Eagle and other previous tournament fighters are available. Not only that, the characters that would have died in the first game or left for whatever reasons would still be alive or around.

I think the petition really should be to put the rights to the game up for sell so that a company can buy it and make something happen. RARE doesn't have all the rights from what I understand. Nintendo has rights to some of the most important characters. I think a group should petition both Nintendo and Rareware to auction the rights. That way a third party developer could create the game and release it on all major consoles. Or you could set up a donation to let the fans buy and make it.
