Gundam Seed Destiny: Operation Angel Down

When a ZAFT reconnaissance discovers the Archangel, ZAFT orders Operation Angel Down, with the goal of sinking the Archangel and the Freedom's destruction, as ZAFT headquarters believe they have only caused confusion during the war. The Minerva is also ordered to take part in the battle, where Captain Gladys informs the Archangel's Captain Murrue Ramius to surrender, but politely refuses the conditions. As the Archangel begins diving into the sea, the Minerva fires its Tannhauser positron cannon, in hopes of stopping the battleship. The beam hits the ocean, generating a thunderous explosion, heavily damaging the submerged Archangel, but does not destroy it. Captain Ramius orders one of its damaged engines to be jettisoned and detonated, as a ruse to buy time for their escape.

Meanwhile, Shinn in his Impulse critically damages Kira's Freedom and is torn apart by the shockwave of the explosions. Fortunately for Kira, the shielded cockpit of the Freedom allows him to escape from death and he is summarily rescued by the Archangel's crew.

So... seeing how much fire it can take and keep working, i can only assume that the the Earth Alliance made the archangel of of metal and futuristic alloys, while making the rest of their ships of off paper mache and nitroglycerin.

@Darkstar263 lmao if u noticed throughout the entire series he mostly relied on the minerva, luna, rey and even athrun for help, whereas kira mostly fought off tough enemies on his own with little to no support at all, i will not deny the fact that shinn won this battle but mainly due to gay and cheap ass circumstances -_-, but saying he's better than kira is just being full of bullshit and sucking mad dick right there, the only person that can probably beat kira fair and square is athrun

Shinn has always had an unfair advantage, he can just call the Minerva to send out weapons and fire the deuterion beam which can give him energy instantly. Kira can't do that with the Freedom.

@Pwnage4Life321 i know that, but if the nuclear explosion didnt come from the freedom and the explosion came from the positron cannon, than why would the freedom be in pieces if it just got a stab in the middle, wouldnt it just be disabled

@Pwnage4Life321 heard somewhere that originally he was supposed to die. seeing as destiny started off revolving more around shin, the plot was supposed to center on him. the crap he takes from here on out just pushes the fact that this wasn't supposed to go in kira's direction, as any and all character development drops.

also, not really caring about kira's intentions or where the ms was hit, a dead man's intentions are buried with him and the animation in this series is recycled a million times

@ThePivot0 nope freedom got destory by impluse sword by stabbing with the beam sword .. on the middle ... of the gundam .. And kira had no intension of killing shinn
