  • I notice professional editors usually resist the temptation to use fancy transition effects, but quite like the ones SCO use complete with the jingle! I know this video may not be intended as a masterpiece, but the transitions between edits give the impression that you're a shape shifting lizard - is there a happy compromise that subtly indicates a cut? Thanks Don!

  • Noted! In retrospect, probably a straight cut would have been better. In any event, I'm hoping not to have to do anymore editing on future comment clips - just call me "one shot Don" from now on :-)

  • Hey Don, great stuff!

If you become a YouTube partner you can post over the 10 minute time limit :)

  • Really? I didn't know that!

  • Why don't you become a Youtube partner your vids are clearly good enough to get it and then you have longer time for your vids,

  • Wonderful! More great screen cast to feed my insatiable screencast addiction. Great stuff Don. You've expedited my transition to Mac, helped me become more productive and why I love my Mac. Your screen casts have also helped me evaluate software by taking the pain out of deciding whether or not to buy the programs. Great benefit to any new or pro mac user.

  • I have been a member for about 2 years now and I love his videos and I have learned a bundle of stuff. I would suggest trying it for a year and see what you think.

  • Like the product placement of the cap on the shelf.....Don you should of possibly warn it??:)

  • Don,

Try to do what Isreal Hyman is doing, use a Fade to color (Blak / White) transition instead of the Cross Dissolve.

    Regards,

    Stefaan

  • Ah, I take it there was some subtle FX in those cuts to make it morph a bit? I realised my comments were irrelevant when I watched the one-shot reply! You're going to do your editor out of a job at this rate though.

  • The only downside of it is that you firstly have to have between 600-1000 subscribers to be accepted, other than that it is all good :)
