This shrine perched beneath a cliff face in Iran is the most sacred of the Zoroastrian mountain shrines. Chak Chak is where Nikbanou, second daughter of the last pre-Islamic Persian ruler, the Sassanian Emperor Yazdegerd III of Persia, was cornered by the invading Arab army in 640 CE.Fearing capture Nikbanou prayed to Ahura Mazda to protect her from her enemies. In response to Nikbanou's pleadings, the mountain miraculously opened up and sheltered her from the invaders. The fire in the temple has been burning for thousands of years.

  • look at 01:32, that's not arabic script! is it related to devanagari?

  • I asked the same question and was told that was Farsi before it got 'Arabized' :D

  • i think it's old Avestan... the one used by the old post-Elamite Iranians... used in the original Zoroastrian scripts... derived from the original Aramaic script... the language itself is a descendant of Indo-Aryan like the Vedic and Devanagari... both Indo-European Languages...

PS: this is non-Arabized Iranian script

  • Yes your right

  • Ya Ahura Mazda

  • @Domsta333 It's Gujarati.

  • @jfrd28 @Domsta It's isn't non-Arabized Iranian script at all. It is Gujarati, the script used by Zoroastrians of Gujarat (India) as well as other Gujarati people to write in their own language, Gujarati. So, yes, it's related to Devanagari.

  • @NewyorkTelAviv

You are such a typical dimwitted fanatical monotheistic muffdiver!

  • For those speaking bad and calling Zoroastrianity a pagan belief.. you are stupid.. as if you do not know what dualisme is.. stop with the propagandacampagnes against Iran

  • @ashvok hahaha get the hell out of here man with your pagan religion.. your mom is a pagan.. spreading propaganda here.. Zoroastrianisme is the first religion to speak of a god and Ahriman the evil.. the first to speak of good and evil.. the first to speak of and love mother earth.. all other monotheistic and radical religions followed and were influenced by Zoroastrianity.. these radicalistic Ibrahimi religions Islam..Christianity. Jewdom are fake power tools of fear and controll..

  • Zoroastrian is a pagan religion based on sun worship the fire represents the sun. most off the anciant world worshiped the sun. the persians adopted Zoroastrianism at the same time kept there pagan rituals same as romans who became christians but stil kept there pagan rituals like xmas day and easter. zoroastian prophet was a hindu priest frm what is now called afganistan

  • @murano33, We love India and its culture.

  • The script in 1.29 is Gujrati, the Language spoken by Zorastrians or Parsees in India
