True. If the cork is dry, cracked, broken, it means the wine might not have been stored properly. The wine may be compromised. Anyway no need to get to intense on details.
Again I am glad that people enjoy wine. I know that I find that the fun begins before I even open the bottel but once I do I enjoy savioring all the aspects of a good wine and for me I do really enjoy looking at the cork if you however dont like details that is cool but there are many who do. Take Care and Peace be with you.
Im I would have to disagree with you you can tell some things from looking at the cork, like sugar, tone/ color of wine, I know that when I drink Stags Leap I can tell from just the smell of the cork what I am going to be drinking. Either way the most important is how does it taste to you and your guests and did you enjoy the gift of vine from the Creator.
