Thumb down to you also, cinnamon. Popular performers almost always change "boy to girl" or "he to she" and vice versa. The only instance I can think of right now where it is left unchanged is The White Stripes cover of 'Jolene.' If Jack White changed it in that song, it wouldn't be the same... but with most songs it does not make a difference. It certainly does not with 'I've Just Seen A Face.'
