do u reccomend asolos just for winter boots to keep warm

It all depends on where you are going and what you are doing. If you are snow camping you might want to get some packboots that are rated below zero but if you are just running around in the snow for the day, these are fine boots as long as you treat them with nikwax. if you camp in the snow with these in a tent put them inside the tent because leather will freeze.
