World Hip Hop Dance Championship

For the second straight year, the most electrifying live events in urban street dance Hip Hop Internationals 8th USA and World Hip Hop Dance Championships return to Las Vegas by popular demand from July 28-August 1 at the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort culminating with the Finals at Orleans Arena on August 2. After attracting the largest audience in its history, the family-friendly event is returning to Las Vegas to satisfy both local and tourist demand for tickets, which are on sale now.

The USA and World Hip Dance Championships are the creation of Howard and Karen Schwartz, producers/creators of the top rated MTV show Randy Jackson Presents Americas Best Dance Crew. Las Vegas own Supercrew won the reality/competition show in 2008. And for the first time in the events history, the World Hip Hop Dance Championship Finals will be taped for a special to run later this year on MTV.

The event has a strong connection to the Las Vegas entertainment community. Natasha Jean Bart, who created the role of Lady Madonna in Cirque Du Soleils Love, will return as Head Judge. Muhktar, who was cast in Love after winning the World Hip Hop Championship in 2005 representing the UK, will join her on the 8-person international panel. Also returning to the judging panel is prominent hip-hop choreographer Shane Sparks (Americas Best Dance Crew), one of three judges featured on the series.

As proof of the growing popularity of hip hop worldwide, the events will attract the largest number of hip hop dancers in the events 8-year history. Crews expected to compete are from more than 30 nations including Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, Belarus, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Trinidad & Tobago, UK, USA and others.
