Wonderful! My father marched in the 60's, I marched in the 2000's, but I agree with my dad that corps should be smaller and more localized and a way to give kids the experience of music and being a part of something both rewarding and competitive within their local communities, which was how drum corps started in the first place! BRAVO SDCA! you have my support!

I've been saying this to anyone who would listen for years - (but who the hell am I?) Take a clue from WGI - it's the way the activity can serve more kids, be more competitive and cut costs. I hope this is just the beginning. Good luck SDCA.

Great Job All! I pray that this kind of corps continues! It will be great exposure and it will be a way for those small corps to survive and perform still!

I really hope this takes off, drum corps needs to re-establish itself on the local level.

Very Cool,
Looks like the 1st contests were a success. There are more people in the seats than I expected. Packed house for sure. Can't wait for June to get here.
