Iraqi journalist Salam Talib describes the divide between the American and Iraqi perspective of the war

Salam Talib is an Iraqi citizen. He worked as a translator for US journalists after the war and started reporting from Iraq himself in 2005. He recently moved to San Francisco to study computer engineering.

Funny how this man, because he can speak a little English and has a baseball cap on his head rather than a turban, is regarded as a human being.
I guarantee that if they sent him back to Iraq, forced him to wear a turban, and speak Arabic, that he would be seen as nothing more than a no good Muslim... or rather 'Haji.'
It is people like him who we are slaughtering... PEOPLE like him.
