A bath in 4x5x4 dimensions, with 5 different functional spaces: the central space (bath) with 6 columns and persian arcs and a modern dome, Bar, relax room with a plasma TV, and services. The progect has based on a research of the ancient and modern persian baths.

I believe that we have lost our architecting since last years of Qajari dinasty. We are just immitating the wetern modernism period in architecting and interior design.
I absolutely against using the ethnic furniture to creat an ethnic interior. As you seen, in this virtual project, I have use even "Ionic greek capitals", but the space is persian. The persian caliagraphy is not a forniture, its form help me to emphacide on the curves of the arcs.
Today persian architects or designers should know the persian architecture as well as modern western architecting, and try to use only modern technology and scince of structures, not froms and concepts.

  • Effelunga goes on the right way.The true is that the 1st baths were romains and after , as time went on , came the arabs ( that invaded Persia ) and then arrived the Ottomans...Everybody shared the same space and similar ways of living. But,before, the romains were in Persia..Well,the question is to check the dates of the 1st persian bath and the first romain one.(PERSIA IT IS AN OLDER CIVILIZATION !!!).It is ok to discusse about these things but it is sad the way how you do it.TKS BOOK MIS

  • Thank you for your useful comment. I believe also the way witch people discuss on YouTube is so harsh, racist and full of aversion. But I will delete only the comments with bad and offensive language.

  • Garmabeh not hammam !

  • + don't bother answering my msg cuz i will ignore ur ignorance:)

  • nomads of savage descent who killed 1.5 million armenians & can't get along w/ the same greeks u mentioned?there are good turks and there are people like u.

please do us all a favour and read some actual BOOKS. don't rely on movies and ur grandma's stories (on how everything including Hammams are turkish) as basis for ur arguements.the mecedonian you are talking about actually BECOMES a persian, marries persians and stay in persia claiming himself as an Achamead/persian king.

  • yes, ahmadi nejad and khamanei are turks. i suppose u are really proud of ur heritage aren't u?

  • The good reference book about hammams, oriental public baths, Turkish baths from Morocco to Iran is : "HAMMAMS" by Pascal MEUNIER.

His website shows many photos of hammams, specially Cairo's public baths.

  • i feel so bad for you descentpre, it is easy to talk about something that you have no information about. first study the language and then leave a racist comment like that.

  • Hammam is not turkish, hamam is the right prounciation in turkish language. Hammam is from the Arabic root ḥmm with a general meaning of "heat", and as a architectural and functional structure, were used in all middle-east, and Anatolia. But The ottomans were introduced the hammam to the western world. (although romans baths are the same).
