This is Frontier Airlines arriving at the gate in El Paso Airport at gate A3. It is really operated by Lynx Aviation. The aircraft is a Dash 8 Q400. It was kind of rainy outside.
@likeme8686 Good "safety" record, yeah I guess you could say that because they've been extremely lucky. But it's just a matter of time before one of those holes causes the plane to crash, it has happened before on DC-10s. So just wait, I'm sure one of those cracks is going to turn into yet another hole, which rips an even bigger part of the fuselage off, killing passengers. Then I'd like to hear from those defending Southwest and their shitty planes.
@likeme8686 "hasn't had a problem since", yeah except for a SECOND HOLE blowing out in another one of Southwest's planes a few days ago and cracks found in 3 other Southwest 737s, causing hundreds of flights canceled. I think they should spend less of their money buying out other airlines and use it towards better maintenance of their old planes....
I used to work for Frontier. It's nice to know people who support our home town airline but I still will fly both airlines. People just need to understand that things happen. Southwest has been around 40 years and Aircraft is VERY expensive. For the most part their safety record it's pretty damn good. Of course people will get upset and become concerned. However, Southwest did inspect their aircraft and hasn't had a problem since. Let's try and move on. Don't like? Don't fly em.
@Erich64x2 Ok, first of all no one says "noobs" anymore (well, except you apparently). And second, I'm sorry but I'd rather go with an airline that doesn't have holes in their plane (and numerous cracks found in the inspection of all the 737s in Southwest's fleet). Yeah, Frontier may have had financial trouble, but at least they've never been fined for having old, badly maintained planes.
Bottom line, to everyone reading this, if you want to go with a SAFE airline, go with FRONTIER.
WAS LYNX GOOD?

@Erich64x2 Why don't you search "Southwest fuselage hole" before you start defending Southwest.
