  • its the 5mm wire solder on list

  • Cut a 4" piece of wire. What wire? That's not in the list of items needed at the beginning of the video. What kind of wire is it?

  • @mickiesplace it's a common flat wire out of aluminium or copper to extend the bus wire.

  • Where do you get this Tetlar sheet in a small amount.I looked around on ebay but the smallest I found cost $60 It looks like Sun Elec does no sell this or the jointion boxes.

  • Confused about this. How and what are the two tabs in the center hooked to.Show which ones are - and which ones are + ???

  • Ola! Thanks for the training video. I'm having trouble finding the teflon tape. The same term is used to describe plumbing sealant, which is the half inch white tape that is wrapped around a male threaded pipe joint to prevent leaks. Can you show more details on what kind of teflon tape you are using and where to get it. Gracias.

  • Please give us a lay out for not just six across but four across to be sure I do it right. Can Sun elec sell smaller pieces of that Tedlar to cover the back. What is that wire that comes out from the box. After buying the wrong wires. It looks like a one wire c3 or c4 wire Is this right? What are those conecters ?

  • thanks!

  • @lordofthecrabpeople - if you pause the video at the 30 second mark you'll see... the other two terminals are for inline diodes to prevent reverse flow from a battery into a panel at night, and are normally not attached to external wiring. But, they could also provide tap points for reduced voltage if it was needed. For example, if the panel in the diagram measured exactly 24 volts at the plus and minus terminals, then the inner two terminals would provide 8 and 16 volts respectively.

  • So at 30 seconds in you show a wiring diagram. I understand a solar panel is basically a sun-powered battery meaning there is only a positive and negative. Why are there 4 wires instead of 2? Why does your diagram show the extra 2 wires going into the junction box but not coming out? What are they for? This tutorial is terrible. If SunElec ever actually SELLS me the panels I need I'll make a real video with a real camera that everyone can understand and use.

  • This may be a silly question but how do you know where to cut?

  • Are the laminates UL listed / have sticker on them? Do they need glass over them? Thank you!
