If you get lucky and a develop a tiny hole or two in the exhaust pipe the Alfa Spider can sound demonic on decel in second. Enough to cause car alarms to go off. But she can go back to a calm rasp in an instant, effectively a 'cloaking device'. There is nothing as beautiful for the price on the planet.

@79roller Yes! Each time he says Alfa Romero the other dude is quick to say it correctly soon after. Car Crazy people are damn funny. And it's actually a quite competent interview. One thing I did notice was the extreme difference in paint color between the door and the rear panel on that close up shot.

@gopherusagassizii yep, mine was bad for the head gasket and the distributor shaft.. lol Nothin like takin ur girlfreind out on a date and a teeny bopper in a ragidy honda goes by reving and thinks he's a hard ass so u pop it down a gear and nail it to show him who's boss, but breaking the distributor shaft on the interstate, trust me it sucks!! The ride in the tow truck was soooo quite u could hear a pin drop.. lol

It handles what I throw at it, but these cars often have sketchy repair histories. Alfa's are about as reliable as other makes, but they tend to be driven harder and repaired by people who either do not respect them or understand them. Check the oil often and learn to deal with bad second gear synchros. And then make it pay for your sins.
