It's interesting to see this, from someone who knows the other incarnations of Superman better.

While this Superman is weaker, in a way, Golden Age Superman is stronger, and a Howitzer could kill him, :), this Superman still technically holds back even in this fight. Which shows how strong he is. He's always afraid even here, of hurting Darkseid severely.

Considering his comic incarnation can become a God by flying into the sun and stay there for 10,000 years, that says something.

@derpylives It was a very intense moment in which very little thought was to be had on either fighter's part. In his defense, taking the fight into space would have left Supes without any immediate back up, which was very badly needed in but a few minutes.
