In 1997 British balloonist Ian Ashpole ascended 10,000 feet tied to 450 helium balloons. He then safely parachuted back down to earth over Ross-On-Wye near Wales.

  • Well now,put those ballons in a saucer shaped aircraft(better resistance to winds),some Cycloidal propellers for back-forward movement and you're good to go!

    By the way:you never actually "land it",just hook it up to a steel pole with a deep foundation!

    Sort of like a SKYLIFTER!
