The Lawley model gliders flying in the lee side

A group of model glider pilots turned up whilst we were parawaiting on the hill at the Lawley. We were most surprised when they began flying there models in the lee of the hill. I am not sure the video does it justice as the models were flying very fast at times. The trick was to position the model so it gained a kick from the rotor at the top of the hill and from the rotor behind. The British record is for a model speed of 250mph apparently.
