The goal was to see what snatch max I was capable of with the adjustments made over the past 6 weeks
- bar closer to shins
- shifting back entire body during 1st pull
- planting feet on ground until 2nd pull
- instant "butt down" on end of 2nd pull
- keeping arms loose to allow armbend and closer bar path on 3rd pull
I finally (since starting snatches in Oct 2009) was able to attain an over bodyweight snatch with these adjustments internalized. There's still work to be done like getting the knees back on heavy attempts (180lbs and 185lbs the knees don't move back as much as they should, making the successful ones iffy since there was some forward bar movement), and getting looser arms on the third pull. I'll get there though. The hang snatch has been helping me so far with both goals.
