@ed0985587 yeah 4cyl yjs came with 4.10 gears stock. their ideal for the 6cyl yj to up the gearing for big tires but for the 4cyl yjs not good enough for big tires. thats where 4.88s come in
@ed0985587 yeah theres plenty of people who wheel 4cyl jeeps. but it depend on what you do. trail runs, few obstacles here and there yeah 4cyl will do fine. but you want to get serious its alot more expensive to get it right. if you go 33s or higher you will have regear the axles to get power back. 4.88 gears are most desirable for 4bangers. 6cyl jeeps are alittle more powerful that even with stock 3.07 gears people can tolarate it until they get the $ for regears. but yeah you be fine for now
Ive got a 92 yj 4 banger and a 2012 JKU. dont wanna mess with the jku yet as its brand new but wanting to toy up the yj. Would the 4cyl be worth putting the suspension money into?
@trac0808 the jeeps in vid still had the tracbar/swaybar connected if they werent on yes the springs will perform great. i checked your vids out and they were great. i too have the 4" lift from RC and their 1" boom shackles. been on their for 7months with no sag at all esp. carrying cargo, full tank of gas everywk and hardtop 4.0L. quite impressed. i flexed mine this morning and the rear springs stuff my 33s to a point it touched the tub. the front was limited cause my brakelines and shocks.
i have the 4 inch lift on my yj from rough country. ya the road ride is pretty bad i was not expeting alot i was just gonna get the lift then revolver shackles and longer shocks but i locked up my axles and i was impressed it had alot more flex than any of these in this video check out my videos it may help someone make up there mind from paying 450 for rc to 1000 for others
