Gorgeous cabinet! One thing to consider with V-30's, try a second rear panel on the bottom about the same size as the top one, to push a bit more air forward. Vintage-30's are very tight and focused by nature, but the bottom end will be defined with a smaller opening in the back and some deflection from the bottom. With a 2x12 that size, I like to staple a thin layer of foam inside the bottom. Pine is very resonant and at high volumes it can rattle the floor. BTW, beautiful finish job on that!

did a beautiful job on that box, looks great!
wonder if it would sound better with something covering the speakers..maybe just 2 round bits so you arent covering your work.
i need a cab, 2x12 also. i want an empty one though- i want greenbacks in my cab but its hard to find one with those speakers and i dont want to blow cash on a box and just toss the speakers ya know?
