Beautiful Life is my favorite japanese drama by far, and the music is great and I have the OST. But this song and the music that plays during the opening title are not on the OST, at least not the one i have. Finding this song was easy enough thanks to youtube. But an FYI for any who wanted to know the name of the Music that plays with the title, it's called: On Silver Wings by Steve Spiro and Paul Wickens.
You made a mistake.. the kanji for chika 近 (the shortened form of chikai and chickaku) is read as close or near. Hence the translation has nothing to do with hills although the kanji is similar (丘). The two stroke radical is different in the two, however and so is the meaning.
So the real translation is Konya = this evening tsuki = the moon mieru = able to see (can see) oka = close to (near) ni = obj of the preposition near. Hence, This evening I am able to see the moon closely
