This is the first in a series of videos describing the construction of a recycled glass, concrete countertop made from white portland cement. Alan Stankevitz has been building a cordwood house and this video focuses on the kitchen countertops.

  • Very clear video. Good information. Creative use of recycled glass (I bet that's very pretty!) Good explaination of materials to form a quality mold.

  • Wow what a giant waste of 6 minutes of my life ill never get back.. Zzzzzzz

  • Can't agree with your choice being labelled as eco. The difference between the embodied energy of cement compared with a bespoke hand/machine carved wooden worktop (sourced from driftwood or the local forest for example) is staggering. Eco is too broad a term nowadays.
