This is a series of lifestyle vignettes, each brought to you by a different Starbucks coffee. Each story will document one individuals creative process be they a singer or a seamstress, a ballerina or a BMXer, an uptown architect or a downtown tattoo artist with a subtle nod to the role their favorite coffee plays in inspiring their muse.

  • Sorry, but Italian roast is the nastiest coffee aside from French roast. Even SB "mild" coffees are over-roasted. These two are straight charred. But taste is subjective and if you are into what I call the "ashtray" taste, then more power to you! Oh, and tamping isn't necessary on a moka pot.

  • I LOVE STARBUCKS!!!!

  • So im reading this article that list the name of companies with this, perhaps written or unwritten policy of, according to the Urban Institute, NUD meaning Non Urban Dictate. A policy targeted to people of color that you dont want to market your product to us. Because you dont really want our business. Whats up with that?

  • I've been getting the coffee press ever since. No more pike place for me!

  • No, it's actually pretty cool and sort of a secret - You don't have to BUY a press, you can just ask for a french press full of whatever coffee you like instead of a white cup full of whatever they brewed (probably PPR). Seriously. Ask for a press full of Sanani or Yukon or whatever. They're SUPPOSED to do that, even if it's not on the menu board.

Of course, it's not so cool if you just want to get your coffee and go, but it tastes a billion times better in a press if you can stay and drink it.

  • Ok, I know they were selling coffee presses, but I just thought that it was more Pike Place, but with a more fancy serving style.

  • Actually, a little-known fact: You can get any coffee in the store brewed in a coffee press on demand. Try asking for that...

  • I love this real life snapshot on a Starbucks coffee lover.

  • I love that she goes on about a coffee that you can't even get by the cup at Starbucks due to ... Pike Place being served 90% of the day now :/

  • Sorry, I wasn't trying to come across completely negatively... I love the idea of the video, I just feel it could be done a little differently (person in the video)... however, I can't wait to see the next one... I love my Starbucks!
