@neilcool1988 You need to be more alert to the accusations your making about peoples religions... You can't just go around saying there is no heaven or hell, you are no more certain about this than the people who think there is.

I hate how in the present day, lord of the rings is not being watched by kids, instead its more like, 'lets download the inbetweeners movie illegally!'. I know i am still a kid but i watched, and loved lord of the rings by the age of 4. I can remember once watching the whole of the fellowship of the ring on my own before school.:') I just think that the imagination and desire for an epic story in a kids mind is rare nowadays, well that's how it is where i am from anyway...

@BarbieKyoo I'm sure God really cares if I spell it right in my second language.
And yeah, they have their mind-blowing idiocies. But so do/did we. I mean, look at the Spanish Inquisition. I'm not proud of these guys.

@SaxyLexx Amen sister!
And irregardless, everytime I listen to this song, I'm sobbing like a lil girl. Something about it touches me to my very core/faer.

@chloehm1 As an atheist, what you said is very respectful, I'd never try to force my atheism on anyone, the only time I'd talk about it is if someone wanted me to. This song is truly amazing, listen to it after seeing the movie WAR HORSE, I cried while thinking about the movie and listening to this at the same time.

@chloehm1 i listened to this song, amd while i did, i drew what i think god wanted me to see. i drew me and my brothers and sisters in christ, with god and jesus and the angels across the sea, waiting for us. i hope he comes for us soon. i love this song.

@pateuvasiliu Oh yeah, and if you’re a man in a muslim society and you die an “honorable” death, their religion says you get 40 virgins in heaven. Or was it 44? If you’re a girl, and you die, you get to be one of the virgins. Oh, and what I mean by “honorable” is killing non-muslims, at least for THEM.
P.S. It’s “Christianity"

@pateuvasiliu “Respect their family” I tried VERY hard not to laugh when I read your comment. Muslims treat the women in their families like property. Did you know that if a daughter gets abused in a muslim society, especially in Palestine, SHE is punished for “Bringing shame to the family”? If you HAD known that, you wouldn’t have posted this outrageous comment, so I’ll take that as a “NO”.

@VitorCavalcantiRocha Uhhh... Listen, I’m a Christian, too, and proud to be. I'm happy that you take our religion seriously. But you’re being a bit preachy. It NEVER said that in this song.
If you want to get technical about it, read the Silmarillion and it'll give you the whole history of Valinor (the West is the gateway, so to speak) so then you can make your own decisions about it's religious significance. I personally like to see the west as the original home of the elves rather than a heaven, as elves don't die unless they are injured/choose to... and then they go to Mandos to await rebirth. end or LOTR rant :)

This song's significance is nothing more than coming to a peaceful end. That's all and shouldn't be read into or conflicted over. It will be played at my funeral.
