Drive-in movie novel The Dare Island Enigma see video book trailer

They do that because it is cheaper to run the sound through the radio than it is with the speakers which were always getting damaged or stolen. If you have to get a brand new speaker from the manufacturer now it costs around 35 or so dollars and a drive-in has at least a few hundred speakers so it adds up really fast. And the parts inside are not very cheap either. I just redid two speakers using parts from the manufacturer and it cost 50 dollars to fix two speakers.

Radio Transmission is fun, especally when you have to turn off your car and hear it on a boom box AND taperecord it at the same time!!!

clearer and longer than the other one
oh cheech and chong did a routine about it
and did they still have speakers in the early 70's?
-
Nobody figured out it'd be a good idea to add a connector so that the speaker could safely detach if accidentally pulled?
-
This is why they do the sound through a radio transmission now
