I last visited the NY MOMA in 1999. I experienced the MOMA in Queens in Summer 1993, but I won't visit the reopened MOMA NY. I think it's no longer about modern art, but a high priced cash cow. The museum's board of directors should have closed the Manhattan museum, sold the property for $70 million, and moved it permanently to Queens. The cash windfall and reduction in operating expenses would've allowed them to open a second museum in a place like Vegas, which has a huge tourist base.
I'm all for sculptures and art, but man that thing is ugly.... Subliminal advertising for the US dollar?? What with the pyramid with the thing on top and all... They just need an eye in it.
