New ferrets!

Terri from Little Dudes Ferret Ranch, a shelter that I volunteer with and fundraise for, dropped by yesterday with some young ferrets that were surrendered to the shelter. I decided to adopt three of them so I'm back to seven ferrets like I had before losing Andy, Oliver and Duncan earlier this year to cancer. As yet unnamed - I'll have to see what they think they want to be called!

9/8/07 - I'm keeping Jack just that. The sable has been renamed Puck (most definitely a "mischievous sprite" like the literary character) and the Panda - the white headed ferret - is now Pan - "Pandamonium" (since pandemonium is just what ferrets cause!) is his full name.

You gave jack back to the pet shelter!! :( i saw him there his name was jack .. Looked exactly the same and they have the same nose stain... I have a pic of jack....

@TheAmazinqStar NO I didn't. I had Jack for four years. He passed away just a few months ago. WTF are you talking about? I'm sure there's other ferrets named Jack. I also don't think Little Dudes is taking in ferrets anymore. And I've never given up a pet.

what kinda litter do u have? my ferrets poop stink up my room, and i dont think it's normal, i feel like im doing someting wrong. i know they stink, but this stench is way to powerfull

@KeithTheMongooseKTM I use wood stove pellets. But it's probably what you're feeding your ferrets. I'm betting it's Marshalls or one of the other ferret foods that has herring meal in it? Switch to a better quality food made with chicken and turkey and little to no fish meal. Mine eat Blue Buffalo Wilderness. Actually a cat food but beter for them than most ferret foods. It's grain free and 40% meat protein.

i gt a ferret on manday and hes a little polecat colour i think :D hes lovely realy gd pet and he never gets bored of playing and thats a lovely colour and nice cage to

@Ferretocious I wouldn't. All of my ferrets are rescues. But it sounds like StrayGhostWolf doesn't want a marshalls ferret. And he even stated there are no ferret rescue groups or shelters in his area.
