  • I love mine, but it isn't loud enough. On 10 and with the 1x12 it couldn't keep up with the rest of my band. If you're just with a drummer for a jam, it can work, but when you've got a rock band (and two other guitarists who use 120 watt 2x12 VOX amps) there's no way you'll be heard with just a 1x12. I'm getting the Blackheart 4x12, so hopefully with that I'll be heard.

  • @Hyce777 Definitely. We have them in our studio for classes just to keep the volume down. They make bigger amps but I haven't tried them yet.

  • These are great amps, I modded mine with the Bitmo Triple Bypass mod. Nice demo!

  • @jammers5 thanks! We have a second combo version here in the studio with that mod....it's really cool but it sounds very different from the head and cab version...

  • Do you have a decent amount of static coming from the speaker when the volume is about a third of the way up? Mine does, not sure if it is supposed to.

  • bell'ampli but 'I do not understand the thing and could have happened while playing a' 3-watt volume up and you hear a loud noise in my case and does not work anymore 'you know why? Hello and thanks

  • monster little giant

  • @maciverandy Nah man, it's different. That Marshall is just special. They go for $800-$1500 on craigslist and ebay; but it's worth it. They sound absolutely amazing- it's my perfect tone. And they'll last forever too. Thing about me is all I want is that tone, I don't vary too much. If I wanted to have lots of tones, I'd buy a pod or a modeling amp.

  • @Hyce777 you better start savin those pennies! i've got a crate palomino 15 watt that i put through a 212 cabinet that i would put up against any amp(for classic rock and blues)! i've also got a peavey classic 50 head and that sucker rocks too! but when i want to get brutal metal i always reach for my crate blue voodoo! i mean you can buy a marshall for 1500$ or more but for the same money you could buy 4 used tube amps from guitar center and have different choices! good luck with your tone!

  • @maciverandy I know there are cheaper heads out there, but I know what I want exactly. A 1970's JMP Marshall 2203 or 2204 head.

  • @Hyce777 peavey classics are great heads for fairly low money...crate actually makes great tube head even though people say they suck.

  • @maciverandy I'd bet, man. I don't have it so I can't try it. I just got a Marshall 1960A cabinet (found it on craigslist for $400, totally worth it), and damn, the 5 watter is pretty loud through that thing. Eventually I shall get a nice big 50 watt head, but those are expensive... haha

  • @Hyce777 dude put that fifteen watter through any 2x12 or 4x12 and it will keep up with any drummer!!!
