Well, I had hoped that the image itself could be seen as so ludicrous, it could not be taken seriously. It was, rather, a joke at the expense of American super-patriotism, which I think we can agree is often overbearing.
Obviously you interpreted the scene differently, which is your right as the viewer. I will admit, however, that simply stating "You utterly suck" did annoy me, but it's better to have this debate rather than hurl insults at each other.

I don't think I'm embarrassing myself by not interpreting the use of his picture for this kind of humour as your expression of agreement with his opinion.
Kudos to you though, for not insulting, much to my surprise..'cause this is Youtube after all.
