Title pretty much says it all.
I purchased my foils and adhesive from http://www.dollarnailart.com
If you have any questions please leave a comment below and i'll answer it there or up here.
Q: How do you remove foils?
A: You can remove them just like regular nail polish. Because the foil itself is very thin it is not difficult to remove with nail polish remover.
Q: Does it chip off or just fall off all together?
A: It does not fall off in one piece like a fake nail might. Because the foil is so thin, I find that it gets dented and scratched and chipped. I would not personally trust it to stay in mint condition for more than a day or two.
Q: How long should you wait for the glue to dry?
A: Depending on how thick I apply the glue, I usually find that I wait between one and two minutes. But this one really is more about trial and error. I do prefer to wait a bit longer than shorter b/c when I don't wait enough the foil tends to peel the glue off of my nail and I end up having to re-apply the glue (as seen on nail #2)
Q: Is there any type of topcoat that wouldn't make it crinkle or will that always happen?
A: I believe that it will always happen. However I believe that some foils are sold in sets and come with a particular top coat specifically for use with foils. Because I have not tried them, I can not comment on the results you get with them.
However Dollface22772 also has a video up on the foils she purchased from transdesign.com and hers came in a kit with a top coat. I believe her foils became dull and also crinkled as a result of the top coat.
In my video I simply used a base coat. I think any non-fast drying clear polish should work as a top coat.
I did not experience any dulling of the foil with the polish I used in my tutorial.
Q: Is the glue some sort of special glue for nails? I mean by putting it on yr naturals nails u dont risk to ruin them?
A: It's a special glue for foiling your nails. it's not the same glue that you use to apply false nails. It does not damage your nails at all. It seems sort of like regular white glue (and smells that way too) but obviously isn't because when it dries it remains tacky on the surface, whereas white glue gets that dry film on the top of it.
I suspect that it's very similar to the craft glue that's used to adhere gold leaf to surfaces as that is essentially the same process as foiling your nails. (But I'm not sure. its' just a guess. Possibly this one is safer since it is coming in contact with your nail and possibly skin)
You can also check out Dollface22772's foiling video here: http://www.youtube.com/user/Dollface2...
thanks for watching!
Hope this helps some of you who are thinking of trying out nail foils!

I think you can but you can't pay with credit card if you do. I think you need to phone in or mail a cheque. ...I didn't have the patience so I just ordered lots of stuff.
you can find more info on their website.

I brought mine but the adhesive isn't the same, and it sure doesn't go on as easliy as yours do...I do everything your doing but the foil doesn't stick to the nail. When i brought mine, it didn't come in lil tubes and the glue is different....Do u think the glue would make a differance?

I think the glue would make a big difference.
When it dries, it should be clear and tacky to the touch. I've heard of a crafting glue called "The Best Glue Ever" which works great for foils. But I've never seen it in a store. Check Robin Moses's channel. She should have it listed in one of her FAQ videos.

Hey can you do a DIY version of the Ciate colorfoil nail art please?

I actually have one that's similar to that look. search "3D Graffiti Teal Foil Abstract Nail Art" on my channel. If you use several different colours of foil you'll get a very similar look to the Ciate colourfoil look.
However, if you're asking for a free hand version of that... maybe try my "camouflage" nail art - but with sharper edges and metallic colours.
Hope one of those is what you were looking for.

you picked my favorite color. If a person wants to use under acrylics....dont it wrinkles and colors go wonky...but can be put on buffed gel or acrylic nails and apply a uv top coat gel that works fine too. Your video is awesome!!
