First short video clip taken the afternoon of Wednesday, July 6, 2011; venturing out on my own on my first day in New Orleans to capture on video Bourbon Street during the day. On the next, much longer video clip, recorded at noon on Sunday, July 10, you'll hear me talking, giving a little narration as I walk on Bourbon Street. (So wish I hadn't spoken, so dislike the sound of my voice and my pronunciation is dreadful! Should never speak out loud!) The third video clip, taken on same day, in Cafe Beignet where I got my lunch. (emoulade is the restaurant I went to with a few friends on July 7 where I ate a delicious lunch. Both places are less than 2 blocks from the Ramada Inn on Bourbon Street where we were staying for the week.) The last little clip I took while I was returning back to the hotel with my beignet and spotted those cute horse heads on poles. This was the last day of the BatB con, but not of the fun in New Orleans. That night we went to the Cat's Meow for fun karaoke, and the next couple of days we had some fun add-on activities - the Plantation tours, the Swamp Tour, the Paddleboat Dinner Cruise, the Super City Tour, and fun time with friends. We all enjoyed our week together in Louisiana. :o)

  • Love the video..my favorite town, will be there in 2 weeks. BTW -- Love your accent.. South African - German?

  • @tallpaul521 LOL Thanks. I really don't like my voice or accent and wish to improve it. Nope, I'm not from South Africa or Germany, I'm just a Latina woman (family from Puerto Rico and Spain) that was born and mainly raised in New York City.

  • @FoxySonia Thanks for replying. NYC -- my father was born and raised in Queens.

  • @tallpaul521 You welcome. Where were you born? Glad you liked the video. It was my first trip to New Orleans, and my first trip outside New York in around 17 years. Spending a week there (staying at the Ramada Inn on Bourbon Street) was a lot of fun, got to meet around 80 online female friends, and it was exciting being in a new city and seeing new things. Wish I could afford to travel more often. Will try to do it, travel to visit friends, whenever possible. How often do you go to New Orleans?

  • @FoxySonia I was born and raised in Houston..still live there. I stayed at The Inn on Bourbon a few years back. It was nice. 80 female friends -- all together in NOLA?--wow! I get to New Orleans a couple of times a year -- always for Halloween and sometimes for my birthday. I used to make it to NYC a couple of times a year, but haven't been since 2003. I love that city.
