This track is BLUSIRKUT's eastern curried funk. The video is performed 'LIVE' during shows by Alton Parker and what you are watching is one of those recordings released as the music video...

BIOGRAPHY:
With their first (self-titled) E.P. release, the musicians of 'KDTU' step up and deliver this fresh new sound for rump-shaking aficionados searching for the perfect groove 'BLUSIRKUT' subtly blends 'St. Germaine' style riffs and 'Thievery Corporation' beats with the improvisational dynamic of a live band - infusing their long and distinguished history as industry leading jazz/funk musicians with cutting edge technology. To top it off, the band's visualist performs tightly integrated 'live' visuals designed in direct tandem with the music (this ain't your mother's VJ)...

Originating from Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, these virtuoso's have played venues around the world from the Fillmore in San Francisco to Madison Square Garden and the Blue Note in Tokyo. They have pioneered ground-breaking grooves on a global stage for years and now they have unleashed their full talent and imagination into this deliciously experimental live dance music, surpassing all expectations and leaving current dance culture in the dust.

What started as a collaboration in the recording studio quickly became a full blown project to explore new styles (Hip-Hop, Nu-Jazz, Drum-&-Bass, etc.), ultimately harvesting the best qualities of these sounds to perform live what most musicians can only do in a studio. " BLUSIRKUT" is the sublime union of technology, talent, experience, enlightenment, and devotion - serving as a platform for the next generation of production, composition & expression. Armed with an arsenal of video projectors, digital effects, laptops, synthesizers, and drum machines - combined with a stunning array of traditional instruments and techniques - their sole intent is simple, they make you move... and they're good at it...

BLUSIRKUT blew the other two local bands away & were fantastic. A new kind of world funktronica that I found far superior to most of the organic techno (eg. zilla/disco biscuits/the duo). BLUSIRKUT played some updated sweet acid jazz with world flavors. It was great to see the guys in their own vehicle! -Upstream Entertainment

  • Every visual element has a unique 'footprint' that fits into a specific space with different types of audio. Neglecting techniques & styles accomplished in the past limits ones repertoire and ability to adapt to ANY live environment. Just because someone has 'seen it before' is no reason not to use the right style when it fits...

  • Lovin this mellow cut!! It's contemplative and laid back!! Vocalizations are serene and entrancing. Good music Blusirkut! And the visiual is mezmerizing! @__@

  • It's hard to make out the resolution with the youtube compression and the cuts are a half-second off because of no delay on the audio line (live recording) - but these sheep were hand stitched together and produced at a high resolution...

  • It's all good brother... you know what you're talking about. As I said before, all the editing is done live while the music is performed (with the Numark AVM02) between 4 different sources. The screensaver version of the sheep has a lot of grain and never runs smoothly for more than 30seconds without a jump cut...

  • I was used to mix Fractal Flames made out of apophysis, in wich I also used scriptwirting, you know what I mean. But I think that now everybody in the Vj scene uses them now, instead of trying to learn how to create new 3d models or whatever that shows a little bit more of work, by the way I work on motion graphics for the biggest TV broadcasting in Mexico, so if you wanna talk about video sources renders or whatever and stuff I think we can handle a conversation

  • Thats what I see on my Screensaver, only kind of edited, You can use Apophysis with a morphing script I did that long time ago, I`ts just that I dont see much of your stuff

  • Scott Draves is also known affectionately as 'Spot' of Spotworks... He is absolutely responsible for the algorithms behind the (*Open Source*) Electric Sheep project, Apothysis, the 'Flame' plugin for After Effects, and many other applications used to generate these non-repeating fractal-based 'flames'.
