1 oz Fresh lime juice
1 oz Simple syrup (one part sugar, one part water)
Garnish: Lime wheel
Glass: Martini

I found the Daiquiri to be more susceptible to ratios than other sours. Also I think the quality of the rum makes a big difference in the taste of the Daiquiri. I love using El Dorado 3 year in mine.

Yes you can, I always use 1 to 2 teaspoons of sugar instead of simple syrup to reduce the dilution.

You can always play around with measurements or sugar/sugar syrup, as long as it tastes good=)
